Success to date has laid the foundation for the future and the business is now hiring an experienced Program Manager.

Job purpose

Ensure products are brought to market with customer value propositions that maximise Tritium’s revenue and profit.

Responsibilities

  • Work in conjunction with the New Product Program Director, Power Electronics Director, FW and SW teams to deliver the product roadmap
  • Develop and execute programme schedules to deliver products to market as per the business plan and the Product Creation System (PCS)
  • Ensure product development proceeds as per programme schedule, liaising with other key team leaders to keep projects on-schedule and on-budget
  • Managing risks and communicating progress to affect stakeholders
  • Ensure engineers design within compliance rules
  • Provide leadership and management for the multi-disciplinary product engineering team reporting to the New Product Engineering Programmes Director
  • Liaise with managers and resources in the shared engineering services team (ETS) to ensure the on-time and on-budget delivery of PCBAs, harness, verification and compliance efforts.

Coordinate: 
1) design reviews,
2) PCS gates,
3) team design workshops,
4) project meetings,
5) builds,
6) compliance,
7) verification,
8) costing reviews,
9) documentation

  • Ensure burndown risk backlog from the DFMEA activity
  • Ensure quality control plan development from PFEMA activity
  • Supply chain, Operations, support engineering bridge
  • Ensure documentation requested for Technical Authoring is delivered on-time with expected quality
  • Establish and continue to improve policies, processes, procedures and protocols for project management
  • Establish and continue to improve linkages within the team, out to the larger organisation and to external stakeholders
  • Promote team culture by living the core values and the Notice-Help-Agree behaviour

Qualifications and Competencies 

  • Electrical/Electronics, Software or Systems Engineering Degree; preferably with a post graduate qualification (MEng or higher).
  • Fully conversant with the principles of Systems Engineering.
  • Experience of GPDS / PCS and Engineering planning and delivery processes.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Fully conversant with the principles of Systems Engineering.
  • Ability to manage complex technical issues & balance often conflicting needs.
  • Wide and deep knowledge of projects operating across multi-disciplined teams Proficient with requirements management tool sets (e.g. DOORS).
  • Knowledge of both ‘traditional’ Waterfall and ‘modern’ Agile methods.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop and then achieve the measures and targets, with an ability to draw conclusions from disparate sources of data and information.
  • Commercially and financially astute with experience of managing budgets
  • Capable of working in a reactive and pressured environment.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to optimise team performance and development.
  • Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders.
