Lebanon, TN – December 17, 2025 – Tritium, known for its DC fast charging systems deployed across 50+ countries, today launched GRID-FLEX—an 800VDC bi-directional inverter platform designed for data centers, utility-scale renewable energy installations, and battery energy storage systems. The announcement marks the company’s strategic expansion into adjacent infrastructure markets experiencing acute power efficiency demands.

The platform addresses two converging infrastructure challenges: data centers struggling to power AI workloads within existing electrical capacity, and renewable energy installations requiring advanced grid interconnection capabilities. GRID-FLEX’s bi-directional design enables facilities to not only improve power efficiency but also generate revenue by providing grid services and demand response—transforming backup power from an operating expense into a revenue-producing asset.

Data center operators are hitting power walls—they need more computing capacity but can’t get large utility connections in time. Likewise, solar and battery energy storage developers are facing increasingly complex grid interconnection requirements,” said Arcady Sosinov, Tritium’s CEO. “GRID-FLEX solves both problems with the same core technology: our liquid-cooled power modules that we’ve refined over two decades in demanding use cases including ultrafast EV charging. Native 800VDC eliminates conversion losses for data centers, while our bi-directional capability turns renewable assets into grid resources that utilities actually want to connect.

For renewable energy installations, GRID-FLEX provides advanced grid support capabilities—including dynamic reactive power compensation (±0.9 PF) and fault ride-through—that align with utility interconnection requirements in global markets. The platform’s native 800VDC architecture enables direct integration with solar arrays and battery storage systems without additional conversion stages.

The platform scales modularly from 400kW to 3.2MW using Tritium’s proprietary 50kW liquid-cooled power modules, which achieve 98.5% peak efficiency. Manufactured in the United States, GRID-FLEX delivers approximately 2–3× the power density of leading utility-scale inverters. It’s IP65-rated sealed enclosures enable operation in extreme environments from -35°C to +55°C, backed by a 10-year power module warranty.

The launch continues Tritium’s technology-focused evolution under Exicom ownership following its 2024 acquisition. Recent milestones include the TRI-FLEX distributed DC charging platform, as well as an industry-first lifetime warranty on liquid-cooled power modules, both part of Tritium’s EV charging offering that remains a key focus for the company.
